Below we have tried to list some of our favorite festivals and tournaments that take place along the NC Crystal Coast.
Beaufort NC Music Festival
This annual 3 day event takes place the last weekend in April and features free live music with special performances by some of the best artists in the coastal region. For over 20 years this concert series has entertained and thrilled millions
,and Beaufort's beautiful seashores are the perfect backdrop for this year's various artists, playing on numerous stages.
Cape Lookout Albacore Festival
End of October 26th, 27th, 28th
Cape Lookout Albacore Festival was created in 2002 by a group of friends who decided to hold a special event to raise money for special programs at Duke Children’s Hospital. Each year the festival draws many visitors and has been able to raise over $300,000 that will directly benefit the children and their families who are battling pediatric cancers. Carolina Kite Festival
The Carolina Kite Festival has been flying kites and providing plenty of fun for the whole family for over 20 years. Each year this festival takes place in October, usually the last weekend of the month, and takes place on the beach at Atlantic City NC. Kids of all ages enjoy learning about kite building, and spending time with their loved ones playing games with kites of all shapes and sizes. Other special events are planned each year.
Havelock Chili Festival
The Havelock Chili Festival typically takes place the third Saturday in October each year and is a chili cook off for area visitors and residents. Vendors from across the Crystal Coast promote their products and there is always something good cooking throughout the day. King Mackerel Atlantic Beach Tournament
This tournament began in 1999 and continues to draw fishermen from across the southeast. Commonly taking place in the fall in either late September or early to mid October, the King Mackerel Atlantic Beach Fishing Tournament has several different categories and numerous cash prizes for winners.
Salter Path Clam & Scallop Festival
During the first weekend in May, the community of Salter Path holds the annual Salter Path Clam and Scallop Festival where visitors can enjoy live entertainment, arts and crafts, vendors, games for the family, a golf tournament, plenty of food, and some of the best seafood prepared by famous area cooks. Sneads Ferry Shrimp Festival
The Sneads Ferry Shrimp Festival takes place annually during the second week in August, and has been a family favorite since 1970. Several events like the Shrimp Ball, Shrimp Beauty Pageant, Shrimp Cook Off, a Shrimp parade and plenty of

Swansboro Mullet Festival
Swansboro has been hosting the Swansboro Mullet Festival for more than 50 years, and each year it takes place at the same time, the second weekend in October every year. The Swansboro Mullet Festival is a celebration of all things coastal, and of course, a place where you can get your
mullet cooked 50 different ways. Vendors as well as arts, crafts, games, and the annual Swansboro Mullet Festival Parade are also exciting events and happenings at the festival.
Swansboro Rotary King Mackarel Blue Water Fishing Tournament
This fishing tournament takes place each year and proceeds sponsor the Swansboro Rotary Club and all of their generous efforts. The fishing tournament draws anglers and avid fishermen from all over and most cast
from the waters surrounding Hammocks Beach State Park.
The North Carolina Seafood Festival
The NC seafood festival has been taking place for over 20 years in Morehead City, and it is the second largest festival in North Carolina. Thousands of people descend upon
